He started CVAC in December 2012 after a homeless vet reached out to him for help. He went to social media to ask for help, volunteers responded, the rest is history. He has spent 35 years as a veteran’s activist in Philadelphia and Cape May County. He is lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans, Past Commander of Chapter #44, and a Certified Chapter Service Officer. Johnnie is also a life member of the VFW, American Legion, Vietnam Veterans of America, a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Stella Maris Council #3546 Erma, NJ. He has owned his own business for 20 years.
Jessica has been serving with the American Red Cross for over 3 years. She currently serves as the Regional Manager of the New Jersey Region’s Service to the Armed Forces department. She previously served as a case manager with the organization as part of its Hurricane Sandy Long-Term Recovery team in 2013.
Prior to joining the American Red Cross, Jessica graduated from Stockton University with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. During her time in college she interned with the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), Office of Veteran Affairs at Stockton University, and New York City Board of Education.
She has served as Executive Director of Volunteers in Medicine of Cape May County for 5 years and is on Finance Council for St. Joseph’s Church in Sea Isle City. She is also an independent consultant and general manager focused on the needs of small business and non-profits. Jackie previously spent more than 20 years in the corporate world, working at a senior executive level for a Fortune 100 company.
He owns and operates Synergy HomeCare of South Jersey for the last 7+ years. He is also the current Vice Chairman of the Dennis Township Consolidated Land Use Board, a former Deputy Mayor and member of the Dennis Township Committee from 2006 to 2012. Prior to opening his business, Dennis worked for ECOLAB for 17 years.
